ABC News: Democrats Assail Frist’s Afghan Comments

Even though this guy is associated with Tennessee I have to say that I don’t like his comments, misunderstood or not.  I do not want to see our country cave in or give in to terrorists.  I have to believe that the Taliban would see this as a major victory for their side.  I think Nancy Pelosi’s comments are idiotic yet true.  They are only idiotic because of the spite they are shared with.  Pelosi would be the first to say that we don’t need to be in a war because it makes our country look bad, but here she sees her opportunity to jump on the supporting war bandwagon.

I say that we continue to fight.  We need to show our resolve and we need to stick to the plan.  This country has always been on the winning side of long hard wars.  We don’t give up, at least we didn’t use to.  Time will show if that has changed.
