Interesting Linux Distribution

I was reading this article from Project Opus and discovered an interesting Linux distribution. The distro is called GoboLinux. The main point of interest in this distro is the fact that the developers have taken a new direction on the file system. Instead of sticking with the true Linux file system, they decided to use an easier layout. I like this because I think it is easier for newer Linux users and Windows converts.

I know that true Linux fascists will not like this post, but I think it is good when there is an option out there for people to use to get away from Microsoft’s grasp. I know that there are probably good reasons for the current Linux file system layout, but I can’t find one myself. I love the operating system, but there are some things that could be done to make distros more in line with each other and more alike. This would help all Linux users.
