Is Teen Pregnancy Ok?
This was an interesting article.
The writer refers to times when people married younger and where healthier parents. She refers to times when men became men much younger. I really liked a lot of the article. Her main point seems to be that we are causing more unwed teen pregnancies by telling kids to wait until almost their 30’s to get married. Kids cannot wait that long to have sex. Why is getting married young such taboo? It used to be normal for people to get married in their older teens.
Before you form your own position on this, take time to read the article above. I think you will see many good points in there and it may change your opinion on some matters related to marriage and teenagers.

I found this article interesting, as it hit close to home.
The trouble that plagues today’s young married couples was perfectly stated here:
“By the time they marry they may have had many opportunities to learn how to walk away from a promise. They’ve been training for divorce.”
From a young age, todays youth are taught that marriage is something that you can simply walk away from if it doesn’t “work out”. These days, there is little emphasis on what it means to have complete respect and love for marriage partners. The true meaning of loving compromise and long-suffering are simply overshadowed with selfish ideals and unreasonable expectations, as demonstrated in much of modern entertainment.
Young marriages absolutely CAN work well when they have an instilled sense of commitment, respect, and selflessness. It is even stronger when there is a supportive circle of family and friends; especially older ones, that the young couple can learn from.
