An Apple a day

I bought my wife a 60GB Apple Ipod Photo a couple of years back. I bought it right before the video Ipods came out. I spent around $300.00 on the Ipod and then bought a bunch of accessories for her like an FM transmitter for the car, some Ipod socks, and etc. She was thrilled with the gift, but before long, she was disappointed. Now, if you have read any of my posts before, you know that I am a big fan of Apple. I own a MacBook and I love OSX. However, it did aggravate me a little to see how quickly that little mp3 player broke. I called Apple and it was still under warranty (the warranty was only a year). We sent it in and they serviced the little bugger and sent it back. When we opened the box we noticed that the case had been replaced. All of the small scratches were gone. Supposedly, the problem was something with the hard drive. It worked well for a couple of months and then we had the same problems all over again.

So, the other day, I was looking for a new cell phone for my wife and came across some good mp3 player deals on Ebay. I went ahead and bought her the Creative Zen Micro 6GB. It is not a 60GB Ipod, but she has made it clear that she is no longer impressed with Apple products (I still am). I have done some reading on the Zen Micro and it appears to be a solid mp3 player and I hope that she will like it. If you have ever had any experiences with one of these players, post a comment and let me know how you feel about them.
