Pownce

This is a new project by Kevin Rose and Leah Culver. I know most of you are familiar with Kevin. He is, of course, the founder of Digg. If you are a geek, you know what I am talking about. Some of you may also remember him from the famed TechTV program, The Screensavers. You may or may not know Leah Culver. She is a programmer and friend of Kevin’s. She finagled herself into a nice new Mac laptop a while back by offering space on the lid of her laptop for advertising.

Pownce is a new thing, but then again, it isn’t. It is a social site based around the new Web 2.0 (I hate that phrase) craze. Pownce allows you to communicate with your friends in a myriad of ways. Right now it is only in a beta type mode where you can join by invite only. Hopefully that will change very soon. I am in communications with Leah Culver trying to secure an invite now. I hope she will oblige and then I will take some screen shots and let everyone get an idea of what they are doing.
